URI Pathogen Panel

URI Pathogen Panel

Upper Respiratory Infections can happen at any time, but are most common in the fall and winter months. The vast majority are caused by viruses and are self-limited. In most cases the treatment is simple; however, some patients can have more severe cases which require providers to properly diagnose the pathogen. To help providers determine the best course of treatment, OLS provides several URI panels which test up to 30 bacterial, fungal, and viral, targets that are known to be the common cause of most infections. The panels include endogenous, negative, and pre-spotted positive control targets for each patient test. In addition the panels are also available with 11 antibiotic resistance targets to help providers determine the best treatment regiments for the detected infection. All of our plates are ready for use, and come pre-mixed with DNA-Free-Water and Master Mix in every well for each test.
