UTI Pathogen Panel

Urinary Tract Infection Pathogens

Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) are common infections that happen when bacteria enter and infect the urinary tract. These infections can affect kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra. Patients who have or suspect they have a UTI will typically require some form of antibiotic regiment as treatment. While most UTIs are easily treatable, if a patient goes too long without the proper care, the infection can become critical. To help providers determine the best course of treatment our standard plate panels test a combined 34 bacterial, fungal, parasitical, and viral targets that are known to be the common cause of most Urinary Tract Infections. The panels include endogenous, negative, and pre-spotted positive control targets for each patient test. In addition the panels are also available with 11 antibiotic resistance targets to help providers determine the best treatment regiments for the detected infection. All of our plates are ready for use, and come pre-mixed with DNA-Free-Water and Master Mix in every well for each test.
